WINDOWS • SCREENCONNECT SETUP

How to Connect on Windows

Use this option when a The Villages Geeks technician asks you to start a secure ScreenConnect remote support session on your Windows PC.

1 Go to the remote page

Open your browser and go to angeloit.screenconnect.com.

2 Enter the session code

Your technician will provide the session code over the phone.

3 Download and run the client

Click the downloaded file. If Windows asks, approve the connection.

4 Allow the session

The technician can then see your screen and help resolve the issue.

MAC • SCREENCONNECT SETUP

How to Connect on macOS

Mac remote sessions require extra permissions for Screen Recording and Accessibility. Follow these steps when a technician asks you to connect.

Step 1

Open the Remote Support Page

Open Safari or Chrome and go to angeloit.screenconnect.com. Enter the session code provided by your technician.

Step 2

Download and Open the Installer

A small installer file may download. Open it from your Downloads folder and follow the prompts. If macOS blocks it, use right-click or Control-click and choose Open.

Step 3

Approve Security Prompts

macOS may ask you to confirm that you want to open the support tool. Click Open and enter your Mac password if requested.

Step 4

Grant Screen Recording

Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording and turn on ConnectWise Control.

Step 5

Quit & Reopen

If macOS asks you to quit and reopen the app, click Quit & Reopen so the permission can take effect.

Step 6

Grant Accessibility

Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and turn on ConnectWise Control so the technician can control the mouse and keyboard.

Do not see ConnectWise Control in the list? Click the plus button in Privacy & Security, find the ConnectWise Control app, and add it manually. Your technician can guide you through this step.
ALTERNATIVE • GOOGLE REMOTE DESKTOP

How to Use Google Remote Desktop

Google Remote Desktop works directly in your browser and can be a simple alternative when ScreenConnect is not the best option.

1 Open Google Remote Desktop

Go to remotedesktop.google.com/support in Chrome or another modern browser.

2 Click Share This Screen

Install the extension if prompted, then generate a support code.

3 Share the Code

Give the temporary code to your The Villages Geeks technician.

4 Approve the Connection

Click Share when prompted so the technician can connect.
